Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival a Huge Success! More than 4000 athletes representing 190 teams from 12 countries / regions took to the waters of iconic Victoria Harbour for two days of spirited racing during the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival. They competed for the 35th Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races (24-25 July). Race Venue at Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade was packed with thousands of enthusiastic spectators, energetic athletes&their supporters. All people were excited to watch the races atthe beautiful harbour with HK Island skyline as background. While the waters around East Tsim Sha Tsui teemed with brightly decorated dragon boats, on land, spectators soaked up all the excitement of the races as a party atmosphere reigned supreme. San Miguel, one of Hong Kong's most popular beers, put on a Beer Garden where spectators and athletes could relax with a cold beverage and enjoy an assortment of mouthwatering foods and snacks. Also on tap was an assortment of non-stop live entertainment on stage as well as roving entertainers to keep people in a party mood. Another well-attended event during this three-day funfest was the Dragon Boat Fun Plaza with its race-related photos and exhibits.
